Pakhalé worked initially at Philips Design - new business creation department on innovative products in the areas of digital communication and transportation. In 1998 he set up his own design practice in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

From 2006 to 2010- He has been the Head the department of Master of Design for Humanity and Sustainable Living Program at Design Academy Eindhoven, The Netherlands. His works are in several public collections, such as Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam; Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, Montreal; Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris and Victoria and Albert Museum, London.
